Conversation:

Manjima: Hey Karthik! So long. I haven't seen you for a long while. How are you?

Karthik: Hi Manjima! What a nice surprise to see here. Yeah, I am fine, thanks. What about you?

Manjima: Doing good I guess. By the way, why are you here?

Karthik: Ha! I was about to ask you the same. I lost my job as an IT professional as they were cutting-down costs due to the pandemic. They fired many members of the testing team because no company was giving projects. So, I thought I will join the employment society...with a lingering of hope.

Manjima: Oh! It's kind of similar to my situation. My agro-product company was completed closed due to no business. I too thought of joining the society.

Karthik: It's really sad. One day you are in relief that you are financially secure and the next moment, there goes your job. I hope I would get a job soon because my EMIs and loan dates are nearing.

Manjima: It's just the same here. My mother was diagnosed with cancer a few weeks back and I am suffering a huge financial crisis.

Karthik: It's really bad. I heard this society finds jobs for all its members in any crisis. I hope we get placed soon. There you go! You are being called.

Manjima: Yes, I would better go now. This pandemic has ruined our lives. Stay safe anyway. See you soon. Bye!

Karthik: Bye!
