Dahi Handi is celebrated every August/September, the day after Krishna Janmashtami.It involves communities hanging an earthen pot filled with dahi (yoghurt) or other milk-based delicacy, at a convenient or difficult to reach height. Young men and boys form teams, make a human pyramid and attempt to reach or break the pot.

- श्याम : मैं बढ़िया भाई। तुम बताओ? अगले सप्ताह कृष्ण जन्माष्टमी है तो उसी की तैयारी चल रही।
- मोहन : मैं भी बढ़िया भाई। हां भाई मैं भी वही पूछने वाला था की इस बार जन्माष्टमी पर क्या कर रहे?
- श्याम : हां भाई। इस बार हम लोग जन्माष्टमी बहुत ही धूम धाम से मना रहे हैं । मटका फोड़, झूलना, और अन्य सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रम भी करवा रहें हम लोग।
- मोहन : अरे वाह! भाई यार मुझे पता ही नही था की ऐसा कुछ हो रहा है।
- श्याम: कोई बात नही। अभी तो पता चल गया न? कहीं आना जाना तो नहीं है न इधर कुछ दिन?
- मोहन: नहीं भाई। मैं भी कल से आता हूं और मेरे तरफ से भी जितना हो सकता है, मैं भी सहयोग करूंगा।
