B) This answer is  most suitable.  But other answers can also be suitable for some contexts.

Daughter:  Mama, can I drink milk/tea from the pot ?
Mother:  The pot's  hot,  Don't touch it.

In another context,

Daughter :  Mama,  I need the pot.    Can  I have it ?
Mother:  The pot's hot, I just took it off the stove.  Wait for it to cool down.
