The present scenario is very adamant and demanding to conserve nature through working for, with and by developing and strengthening livelihood through conservation and restoration of natural resource bases. One example for such resource development is by developing Water Shed Development programmes in collaboration with the government. By developing micro watersheds in a comprehensive manner through active participation of the local community, who will also be the torch bearers of the programme, and the benefit reaper too. Based on detailed planning and exercises, surrounding the detailed natural resources, improvements in agricultural activities, agro-allied activities, erosion control, and sustainable pasture management programmes can be implemented.
As diversified livelihoods with livestock component have a high capacity to deal with multiple stresses and adapt to harsh climatic conditions. This will result in coming up with a range of livestock of varied productivity. This is an brilliant example that can be implemented, and have been taken up by many programme initiators in collaboration with the government, which have produced great results.

Mother Nature
Nature can very well be called Mother, for like a mother it provides for our needs even when we turn inconsiderate and do not fulfill our duties towards her. Ironically, we have harmed nature in every possible way and what we see today as anomalies we see today are due to our own callous attitude towards mother nature. It's said, 'Better late than never'. Still, there is the time we can, as restitution, we can undo our mistake to some extent.
The need of the hour for sustainable development is to conserve our Mother Nature and the resources it provides us. The best way to do it to adopt this responsibility as a livelihood. Hence, the more and more youth turns to job profiles related to the environment and its protection the better it is for the humankind. Besides, the government can promote youth who come forward to protect our nature, be it as an individual or a non-governmental organization. For this, career counseling and proper orientation would not only be beneficial to environment uplift it will help solve the problem of unemployed youth.
