imagined a scenario that one day Gandhji met Nehruji in heaven and the conversation that followed is as given below.
Gandhiji: Nehru ! What a pleasure to meet you once again!
Nehruji: Pranam Bapu! I too wanted to meet you and apologize to you!
Gandhiji: What for? Are you sad with the condition of our country?
Nehruji: Yes, I am . I sometimes wonder where I went wrong in setting the foundation of our independent India.
Gandhiji: I too wonder, what went wrong? So many Indians gave up their lives to see an Independent India, where all the Indians could live freely and equally. Was it worth?
Nehruji: I tried to set up the right systems as the values in our society were impeccable; I never imagined that they would change so dramatically in the next 65 years.
1)To allow all religions to co-exist peacefully, we declared India a secular state. But today maximum cause of social unrest is in the name of religion. Instead of secularism, our politicians believe in pseudo- secularism. Always pitching one religion against the other for votes.
2)I tried to bring technology in the country via collaboration with foreign university to train our youth and develop our own scientific institutes by setting up IITs. Now see the condition of IITs. New ones are being set up randomly without proper infrastructure or faculty. Quality is going down drastically.
3)I tried to keep the essential services in government control, so that there would be no hindrance in its development due to shortage of funds and the whole country would be well connected. Infrastructure is important for the development of any economy. Unfortunately all the three forms of transport. Railways, Roadways and Airways are running like sick units. Public is suffering due to poor quality of these services. There are perpetually on strike. Quality control is not even a matter of concern.
