If two chords subtend equal angles at the centre then they are equal.
Proof: Take two chords in a circle now make equal angles at the centre using them. Then make two triangles using the radius and the chords. Since radius are equal and the angle at the centre are same therefore the two triangles will be congruent and this implies that the chords are equal.
