We know that, the frequency obtained by adding the frequencies of all the classes preceding the given class to the frequency of the class is termed as cumulative frequency.” Less than type” cumulative frequency of a class is termed when the number of observations are less than the upper boundary of a class and “more than type” cumulative frequency of a class is the frequency when number of observations are more than or equal to the lower boundary of a class. So, we have to make another column in the above table which will provide the data of cumulative frequency (more than type).
