Hey dear,

● Conversion of 2-chloropropane to 1-bromopropane -

It is done in following steps.

# Step 1 -

2-chloropropane is heated with alcoholic potassium hydroxide to form propene.

CH3-CH(Cl)-CH3 + alc.KOH--> CH3-CH=CH2 + KCl + H2O

# Step 2 -

Propene is treated with hydrogen bromide in presence of peroxide to form 1-bromopropane.

CH3-CH=CH2 + per.HBr --> CH3-CH2-CH2-Br
