Multiply equation ( 1 ) with 10, we get

10x = 157.121212....-----( 2 )


Multiply equation ( 2 ) with 100, we get

1000x = 15712.121212...----( 3 )

Subtract equation ( 2 ) ,from ( 3 ),

990x = 15555

x = 15555/990

x = 3111/198

x = 1037/66

Therefore ,

x = 15.71212... = 1037/66 [ p/q form ]
