Here we are asked to convert 30 g of water to moles.
So , Given mass = 30 g
We know that the chemical formula of water is H₂O.
∴ Molar mass of H₂O = 2 × 1 + 1 × 16
= 18 grams
So its easy to convert to moles as ,
No:of moles = Given mass / Molar mass
= 30 / 18
= 1.66666667 moles
So , Given mass = 30 g
We know that the chemical formula of water is H₂O.
∴ Molar mass of H₂O = 2 × 1 + 1 × 16
= 18 grams
So its easy to convert to moles as ,
No:of moles = Given mass / Molar mass
= 30 / 18
= 1.66666667 moles
