If you want to convert Degree Kelvin to Degree Celcius, Subtract 273 from the temperature in Kelvin.

For example, the boiling point of water is 100 degree celcius which is exactly equal to (100+273) = 373 Kelvins.

If you want to convert Degree Celcius to Degree Kelvin, Add 273 to temperature in Degree Celcius.

For example — In the question, it is given 40 degree celcius. If you want to convert it to Kelvins, ADD 273 TO THE TEMPERATURE GIVEN.

So, Temperature in Kelvins = 40+273 = 313 Kelvins.
