we know that 180⁰= π radian

Hence  \: 40⁰20'=40(20× \frac{1}{60})

=40 \frac{1}{3} \: digree =  \frac{\pi}{180} \times  \frac{121}{3}  \: radian

therefore \:  40°20′= \frac{121\pi}{540} \: radian
