acetaldehyde can be converted into DDT (DchloroDiphenylTrichloroethane)

First of all the acetaldehyde, is treated with chlorine to give choral (1,1,1-trichloro ethanal) which on reaction with 2 molecules of chlorobenzene then DDT will be formed.
