Answer:
Treat methyl bromide with a strong cyanide salt(KCN) followed by complete acidic hydrolysis.
CH3Br +KCN --> CH3CN + KBr
In this step, Acetonitrile(CH3CN) is hydrolised to form acetic acid.
CH3CN + H2O-->CH3COOH + NH3
