1kilowatt-hour = 1killowatt for 1hour
1kilowatt-hour = 1000watt for 1hour
But: 1watt = 1joule/1sec ... . .(1)
So equation (1) can be rewritten as:
1killowatt-hour = 1000joule / second for 1 hour and 1hour = 60 * 60 sec
1kwh = 1000joule /sec *60*60 sec
1kwh= 3600000 joules or (3.6*106j)
