Convert. Ethanol to ethanoic acid give reasons

When ethanol (C2H5OH) is heated in presence of acidified potassium dichromate (K2Cr2O7) or alkaline potassium permanganate (KMnO4) as oxidising agents then it get converted into ethanoic acid (CH3COOH).

This reaction is known as oxidation reaction because here ethanol is oxidising into ethanoic acid.
