Question

  • Convert in Decimals   60 cm = _____ m

Solution

{\underline{\underline{\blue{\mathfrak{As \ we \ know \ that}}}}}

\;\boxed{\sf{\purple{1_{\:(m)} = 100{\:(cm)}}}}

{\underline{\underline{\boxed{\bf{Understanding \ the \ question}}}}}

First, we have to convert cm to m by using the formula after using it we have to convert the metre into a decimal form so that we can get the answer

: \implies \sf{60 \ cm} \leadsto \sf{\dfrac{60}{100}} m

: \implies \sf{\dfrac{60}{100}} \ \div \ \sf{\dfrac{20}{20}} \leadsto \sf{\dfrac{3}{5}}

: \implies  \sf{\dfrac{3}{5}} \ \times \ \sf{\dfrac{2}{2}} \leadsto \sf{\dfrac{6}{10}}

: \implies  \sf{\dfrac{6}{10}} \mapsto 0.6

: \implies {\underline{\underline{\boxed{\pink{\mathfrak{0.6 \ m}}}}}}

In the given question I have firstly divided  \sf{\dfrac{60}{100}} because if we have to find the decimal we have to reduce the fraction if it can be after reducing I got \sf{\dfrac{3}{5}} so I multiplied Denominator into 10, 100 or 1000 etc.. and after multiplying \sf{\dfrac{3}{5}} by \sf{\dfrac{2}{2}} I  got \sf{\dfrac{6}{10}} So, have converted it into the Decimal form which is 0.6 m

•°• Hence, verified! that the answer is 0.6m
