To convert : fractions $\frac{151}{10}$  and $\frac{9898}{1000}$  into decimal.

Solution :

• To convert given fractions into decimal we divide numerator of fraction by its denominator.

• On dividing $151$ by $10$ we get,$\frac{151}{10} = 15.1$  also because there is only one zero in decimal therefore decimal point shifts one number to left.  

• On dividing $9898$ by $1000$ we get, $\frac{9898}{1000} = 9.898$  also because there are three zeros in decimal therefore decimal point shifts three numbers to left.

Hence decimal form of  $\frac{151}{10}$  and $\frac{9898}{1000}$ is $15.1$ and $9.898$ respectively.
