Explanation:

• Treat the n-hexane with chromium (III)oxide which gives cyclic hexane . Dehydrogenation of the n-hexane in the presence of chromium(III) oxide as a catalyst.

• Then cyclo-hexane obtained in first step undergoes aromatisation and gives benzene as a final product.
