HEY FOLK..
The process of conversion involves following steps:-
CH₃-CH₂-CH₃ + HBr -------------> CH₃-CH₂-CH₂-Br + H₂ ________(1)
CH₃-CH₂-CH₃ + HBr -------------> CH₃-CHBr-CH₃ + H₂ _________(2)
Now we can see in reaction (1) the functional group has 2 α-H whereas in reaction (2) the functional group is having 6 α-H , so (2) is more stable and we will have it in maximum fraction.
