Let polar form is

Z= r(cos theta +i sin theta)

And we have

Z = 1+i

Comparing both

rcos theta =1

So

1^2 =r^2 cos ^2 theta..........

And we have

1=r sin theta

So 1^2 =r^2 sin^2 theta.........

Now adding both

2=r^2

r=root 2

Now we have rcos theta =1

Cos theta =1/root 2

And

rsin theta =1

Sin theta =1/root 2

So polar form is

Z=root 2(cos pi/4+sin pi/4)
