Explanation:

Conversion :-

  1. Phenol to Salicyclic acid
  2. Acetylene to Salicyclic acid
  3. Ethyl Chloride to Salicyclic acid

( Refer to the attachment. )

Explaination :-

1)

Phenol is treated with NaOH & CO2 to forms sodium salicycalte and then after acidification it forms 2-hydroxy Benzoic acid (salicyclic acid). [Kolbe's reaction]

2)

Ethyne (acetylene) form benzene when it's treated in red hot iron tube. Then, chlorination of benzene in the presence of Anhydrous AlCl3 led to the formation of Chlorobenzene. Then, Chlorobenzene reacts with NaOH & H2O at 350°C to form sodium phenoxide and then acidification of sodium phenoxide leds to formation of phenol.

Further reaction, same as (i)

3)

Ethyl chloride is treated with alcoholic KOH then it forms Ethene and after the bromination of Ethene it forms 1,2-dibromo ethane. Then, 1,2-Dibromo ethane is treated with Alcoholic KOH that leds to the formation of 1-bromo ethane. Then, 1-bromo Ethene treated with NaNH2 then it forms acetylene (ethyne).

Further reaction, Same as (ii)
