(a) 54. 75 g/L HCl = 54.75 g of HCl in 1 L of solution
No. of moles of HCl = 54.75/36.45= 1.5 moles
Molarity = no. of moles of solute/volume of solution ( in L)
Therefore Molarity = 1.5 /1 = 1.5 M
(b)
3 M = 3 moles of in 1 L of solution
Mass of = 3 × 174g = 522g
Therefore 3 M = 522 g /L
