23 is our degrees.

For minutes, 0.60 * 60 = 36 minutes

What is Sexagesimal System?

It is an angle measured in degrees, minutes and seconds.

1 right angle  = 90 degrees (or 90°)  

1 degree (or 1°)  = 60 minutes ( or 60’)

1 minute ( or 1’ )  = 60 seconds ( or 60’’)

How to convert from decimal degrees to degrees, minutes and seconds?

1. The degree which is given to be converted take out the whole number from it which will be our degrees like from above question 23 is our degrees.

2. The decimal number needs to be multiplied by 60 and if we get in decimal then you need to separate whole number and decimal and multiply with 60 and if not then the whole number is minutes.
