Let x = 5.2222------- ( equation 1 )

=> 10x = 52.222 --------- ( equation 2)

Now, on subtracting (equation 1 ) from (equation 2 ) we get,

=> 10 x - x = 47.00

=> 9 x = 47

=> x = 47/9

Hence, p/q form of 5.2 is 47/9
