Given :- convert the following time to 24 hour and 12 hour clock :-

i) 5 past 8 in the evening .

ii) one minute past midnight .

Answer :-

i) 5 past 8 in the evening .

→ 5 past 8 evening = 8 : 05 PM

so,

• 12 hour clock = 8 : 05 PM
• 24 hours clock = 12 : 00 + 8 : 05 = 20 : 05 .

ii) one minute past midnight .

→ one minutes past midnight = 12 : 01 AM

so,

• 12 hour clock = 12 : 01 AM
• 24 hour clock = 00 : 01
