  • Fraction =  \sf \dfrac{260}{325}

  • Convert it into simplest form.

\Large{\bf{\red{\mathfrak{\dag{\underline{\underline{Solution:-}}}}}}}

Fraction =  \sf \dfrac{260}{325}

Now,

  • We can divide the numerator and denominator by 5 as the divisibility of 5 tells us that the last digit of the number must be divisible by 5.

Now,

  • In 260 - 0 is divisible by 5

  • In 325 - 5 is divisible by 5

Dividing by 5,

  •  \sf \dfrac{260}{325}

  •  \sf \dfrac{\cancel{260}^{\large{52}}}{\cancel{325}^{\large{65}}}

  •  \sf \dfrac{52}{65}

Now,

  • We can observe that 52 and 65 are divisible in 13 table.

13 x 1 = 13

13 x 2 = 26

13 x 3 = 39

13 x 4 = 52

13 x 5 = 65

Therefore,

Dividing by 13,

  •  \sf \dfrac{52}{65}

  •  \sf \dfrac{\cancel{52}^{\large{4}}}{\cancel{65}^{\large{5}}}

  •  \sf \dfrac{4}{5}

Note:- There's also another way to find whether 52 and 65 are divided by 13. Just subtract the greater number by the small one i.e 65 - 52 = 13 so, it's divisible by 13.

Now,

  •  \sf \dfrac{4}{5}

We can observe that,

  • 5 is a prime number.

Therefore,

  • We have got the simplest form of the given fraction.

Therefore,

  •  \underline{\boxed{\purple{\tt{Simplest \: form \: of \: \dfrac{260}{325} \: = \: \dfrac{4}{5}}}}}
