 Let \: x = \frac{2}{9} \:and \: y = \frac{1}{6}

/* Find L.C.M of 9 and 6 , we get */

 L.C.M (9,6) = 18

 Now, x = \frac{2}{9} \\= \frac{2\times 2}{9\times 2} \\ = \frac{4}{18}  \: --(1)

 and , y = \frac{1}{6} \\= \frac{1\times 3}{6\times 3} \\ = \frac{3}{18}  \: --(2)

Therefore.,

Answer:

Convert the given fraction into like fraction \sf{\dfrac{2}{9}} , \sf{\dfrac{1}{6}}

Taking LCM for 6,9 = we get:

 \longrightarrow\sf{LCM = 18}

So,

(1)

 \longrightarrow\sf{\dfrac{2}{9}}

 \longrightarrow\sf{\dfrac{2 \times 2}{9 \times 2}}

 \longrightarrow\sf{\dfrac{4}{8}}

(2)

 \longrightarrow\sf{\dfrac{1}{6}}

 \longrightarrow\sf{\dfrac{1 \times 3}{5 \times 3}}
