Hi,

Here is your answer

Given:

Mass of carbon dioxide(CO₂)=22g

To find:

Number of molecules of carbon dioxide

Solution:

Molar mass of CO₂=12+32=44

Number of moles of CO₂=Given mass/Molar mass

Number of moles of CO₂=22/44=0.5moles

Number of molecules=Number of moles×Avogadro's number

Number of molecules of CO₂=0.5×6.022×10²³

Number of molecules of CO₂=3.011×10²³

Notes:

1.Avogadro's number=6.022×10²³

2. Number of moles of a given substance=Given mass of that substance/Molar mass

Hope this helps you.
