Heya !!

As we know A-1,B-2,C-3 and so on to Z-26 .

COOK = C + O + O + K

= 3 + 15 + 15 + 11

= 44

It will be 44...

Now, BAT

2 + 1 + 20

= 23

44 - 23 = 21

CANE =

3 + 1 + 14 + 5

= 23

HAD =

8+ 1 + 4 + 13

23 - 13

= 10

Thanks !!

If we take English alphabets as numbers ..

as a=1,b=2,c=3...

cook as c+o+o+k

=3+15+15+11

=44

Now..

BAT=B+A+T

=2+1+20

=23

So cook - bat=44-23=21..

Similarly..

CANE=C+A+N+E

=3+1+14+5

=23

and.....

HAD=H+A+D

=8+1+4

=13

so.........

CANE-HAD=23-13=10

FuturePoet: 2/10 = 2
FuturePoet: let me prove it
FuturePoet: Two = 2 , Ten = 10 Divide Two/Ten ( T cancelled )
FuturePoet: W in alphabetical order 23 , O =15 , E= 5 , N =14
FuturePoet: substituting WO /EN value
FuturePoet: (23+15)/(5+14) = 38/19 = 2

Hence , Prove
