plastic is a insulator of heat and electricity so it not conduct heat and the hands of cook not hurted from heat . That's why they are made of plastic to make kitchen safe for the cook and his / her hands too . And he/ she cook and serve food safely .

cooking pans have plastic handles as plastic is an insulator to heat so if we touch the pan by plastic handle then our hands would not be harmed but if we directly touch it our hands would have burnt.
