(Coordinate Geometry)

Ordinate of all the points in the x-axis is:
a. 0
b. 1
c. –1
d. Any natural number

The point whose ordinate is 8 and lies on y-axis:
a) (0, 8)
b) (8, 0)
c) (5, 8)
d) (8, 5)

If the coordinates of the two points are P (–7, 5) and Q (–6, 9), then (abscissa of P) – (abscissa of Q) is

Step-by-step explanation:

(i) On x-axis, points will not have any height, as said those are on x-axis, where y is always 0 and only x-coordinate will change on changing the point.

So,

Option (a).

(ii) Just like x-axis, a point if lies on y-axis this wont have any x-cordinate.

So, x-coordinate will be 0.

Thus point should be (0,8)

(iii) - 7 - (-6) = - 7 + 6 = - 1
