Coordinates of centroid of ABC are (1, –1). Vertices of ABC are A(–5, 3), B(p, –1) and C(6, q). Find p and q.

centroid of triangle = (x1+x2+x3/3 ,y1+y2+y3/3)

(1,-1) = (-5+p+6/3, 3-1+q/3)

1= -5+p+6/3
p = 2

-1 = 3-1+q/3
q = -5
