Given:

Given figure in the question

To find:

i) Coordinates of P , Q, R

ii) Equation of a line through P and parallel to QR

Step-by-step explanation:

i)

As can be seen from the graph.

Coordinate of P is (4,-3)

Coordinate of Q is (-2,-2)

Coordinate or R is (2,0)

ii)

Now as we know the slope of a line is given by

m=\dfrac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1} where m is slope and (x_1,y_1) and (x_2,y_2) are the coordinates of line

Let  (x_1,y_1)  =Q(-2,-2) and  (x_2,y_2) =R(2,0)

Therefore the slope of QR is given by

m=\dfrac{0-(-2)}{2-(-2)} =\dfrac{2}{4} =\dfrac{1}{2}

Now the line parallel QR have same slope

and passing point P is (4,-3)

Therefore the equation of line is given by

(y-y_1)=m(x-x_1)\\\\\Rightarrow y-(-3)=\dfrac{1}{2} (x-4)\\\\\Rightarrow y+3=\dfrac{1}{2} (x-4)\\\\\Rightarrow 2y+6=x-4\\\\\Rightarrow 2y-x+6+4=0\\\\\Rightarrow -x+2y+10=0\\\\\Rightarrow x-2y-10=0

Hence, The coordinates are P(4,-3), Q(-2,-2), R(2,0) and the equation of lie passing through P and parallel to QR is x-2y-10=0
