     Coordination plays a vital role in all the funtions of management. It is the process by which a manager synchronises the activities of different departments. Coordination is the force that bind all the other functions of management. It is not a seprate function of management it is very essence of management. Coordination is there in planning, organising, staffing, directing and controlling.

      Coordination is important as it integrate the efforts of individuals, departmens and specialists. The importance of coordination is growth in size, functional differentiation and specialisation.

   Coordination makes planning more purposeful, organisation well-knit and controlling more effective. It is the key to process of management.
