Copper carbonate is heated to get cupric oxide. 7.95g of this oxide is heated in a current Hydrogen and 6.35g Cu is obtained.
Again 3.175g Cu is dissolved in HNO3 and evaporated to get cupric oxide. 3.975g of cupric nitrate is obtained. Show that the law of definite proportions holds good for cupric oxide.
