Copper(cu) does not react with water,then how are we getting basic copper carbonate(CuCo3.Cu(OH)2)

this is not a reaction between water aNd Cu it's a reaction of Cu and air...and the point that Cu doen't react with water it's true for some extend that's why Cu slowly form the(CuCo3.Cu(OH)2)
