Hi, here’s the answer dude
Nitric acid reacts with copper because of the nitrate ion. It is the nitrate ion that causes the copper to dissolve, not the H . There is no reaction between copper and HCl because neither H nor Cl is able to react with the metal. This happens mainly because of the fact that the reactivity of nitrate ion is less while the reactivity of chlorine is more than that of copper.
