Copper expands about 5 times more than glass for the same rise in temperature. Why?

BECAUSE COPPER HAS AGREATER THERMAL COEFICIENT OF EXPANSION KNOWN AS ALPHA HENCE GREATER WILL BE THE EXPANSION.
