Heya friend!!
Rajdeep here...

Do you know about the metal reactivity series?
K
Na
Ca
Mg
Al
Zn
Fe
Ni
Sn
Pb
H
Cu
Hg
Ag
Au
Pt

The metals above hydrogen in the series can displace hydrogen from dilute acids. Copper is a metal present below hydrogen, so it cannot liberate hydrogen from dilute acids. So copper is not used.

Zn + 2HCl ----> ZnCl2 + H2
But..
Cu + HCl -----> (No reaction)
