Answer:

becoz copper is more ductile than iron and conducts electricity more fastly as compared to iron

pls mark it as a brainlist and follow me

Answer:

Copper has a lower resistance than iron so less power is wasted and it is also more flexible, easier to solder, crimp and dosen't corrode as easily.

The reasons for iron is not used in making electrical wires are as follows:

1. Iron is very brittle in nature. ... Iron also has 5 1/2 times more resistance than the same size copper wire, so it will get 5 1/2 times hotter, and have 5 1/2 times more voltage losses, when carrying the same current as the copper wire.

2. Copper is a good conductor of electricity that allows the electricity to flow through it easily. So it is used to make connecting wires. Being a good electrical conductor, it provides a good contact surface, is ductile and it is not too expensive. ... Copper is the usual conductor used to carry electricity.

Hope it helps you mate...
