The copper sulfate and zinc displacement reaction is-

CuSO_4+Zn\rightarrow ZnSO_4+Cu

  • Zn or Zinc is a more reactive metal than Cu. So, it can easily displace Cu from Copper sulfate and form zinc sulfate along with Cu metal.
  • The balanced reaction is as follows-
  • CuSO_4+Zn\rightarrow ZnSO_4+Cu
  • In this reaction, one mole of copper sulfate reacts with one mole of zinc to produce one mole of zinc sulfate along with one mole of Cu.
