Answer:

hope this helps

Explanation:

The reaction of copper sulphate in aqueous state and potassium iodide in solid state produces cuprous iodide as a precipitate, liberates iodine gas and forms potassium sulfate in aqueous state.

The balanced chemical equation is:

2CuSO4+4Kl gives rise to 2K2SO4+CU2I2+I2

I hope this information will help you.

Copper sulphate on treatment with potassium iodide precipitates Cuprous iodide (Cu2i2) liberates in gas and also form potassium sulphuric.,It means when the copper sulphate reacts with pottasium iodide, cuprous iodide and and iodine is formed and pottasium sulphate is also formed.

•The balanced equation would be

2 CuSO4 + 4Kl ——› 2CuI + I2 + 2K2SO4

two moles of copper sulphate and four moles of pottasium iodide forms two moles of copper iodide , one mole of iodine and two moles of pottasium sulphate ,this reaction is happened at room temperature.
