Explanation:

hey

When copper vessel is exposed to air turnsgreen in colour due to corrosion. It is so because the metal reacts with moisture and atmospheric gases to form a mixture ofcopper carbonate and copper hydroxide, which gives a green colour to the surface ofcopper vessel.

when a copper object is exposed to moist air for a long time, then copper reacts with water, carbon dioxide and oxygen present in moist air to for a great coating on the copper object. The green coating (or green material)is a mixture of copper hydroxide and copper carbonat which is formed by the action of moist air on copper object.

copper+water+carbon dioxide+oxygen=copper hydroxide+copper carbonate.
