Metals have lustre whereas non metals don't have lustre, they are dull, the only exception is Iodine which is lustrous.

Metals are malleable and ductile,i.e, they can be easily shaped into thin sheets and thin wires. But non metals are hard and brittle,i.e, they can break on hammering.

Metals are good conductors of heat and electricity whereas non metals are bad conductors of heat and electricity, the only exception is graphite.
