total cost due to shipping fee = $5 x n

3.5 x n + 5 x n = 50.5

3.5n + 5n = 50.5

8.5n = 50.5

n = 50.5/8.5 = 5.9411 packs

but we cannot order 5.9 packs so we consider it as 6.
