{we know electron are negative charged and protons are postive charged}
{and we know also that postive and negative charged always attract each other}
so why they don't attract in an atom

the reason for this is that the centripetal force dosent allow it also as it is known that the direction  of it along the tangent so

The electrons are present in orbitals . In that orbitals there are fixed boundaries for electrons to move . So they cannot leave orbitals for such a less charge of proton force.
Also the inter electron forces also helps to attain stability in the orbit.
