 \bold{Answer\;: Nourished \; through\; placenta.}

• Embryonic development in humans begins after conception and formation of zygote. The developing organism from conception until approximately the end of 8 weeks (second month) is called embryo.

Mammalian egg contains negligible yolk so that the survival of such embryo is made possible by the fact that they are nourished through placenta. Placenta acts as a barrier as well as ultrafilter between foetus and mother. It is connected to foetus by a rope-like umbilical cord which helps in the transport of substances to and from the embryo.

The yolk's primary function is to provide nutrition for the development of the embryo. As in higher organisms, there's a structure called placenta, yolk may be present in a small amount or not at all.
