In gases molecules are random nd liquid therse is only distance between molecules nd in solids there is no gap between two molecules

Correct sequence on the basis of molecular distance -

D) Gas > Liquid > Solid

  • The above sequence is the decreasing order of different states of matter on the basis of intermolecular distance.

In solid, there is almost no intermolecular distance and are tightly packed.

In liquid, there is some intermolecular distance but less than gaseous molecules.

In gas, there is large intermolecular diatance and the molecules can move freely.

Sequence on the basis of force of attraction between molecules -

Solid > Liquid > Gas (Decreasing order)
