Since Brazil has a vast latitudinal and longitudinal extent, rainfall differs from one part of the country to the other. Equator crosses the northern part of the country. Grasses and short shrubs grow in regions receiving low rainfall. Thorns and scrubs grow in areas of scanty rainfall.Trees like mahogany, pau brasil, rubber rosewood and variety of orchids are found in Brazil. Evergreen forests are found in the region which receive rainfall throughout the year.
